My Philosophy?
I believe that all foods fit into a healthy lifestyle
My husband convinced me, on 3 occasions, to pack up the family and move around Ontario with our young kids. He also introduced me to Indian and Thai cuisine which I really love.
Raising two busy boys meant that I had to keep up with basketball and volleyball practices, piano lessons, PTA meetings which was getting harder and harder to do! If life wasn’t busy enough….My younger son had many food aversions during his pre-schooler years, and his very own “ideas” about what to have for dinner!
I had to put my creativity to work and tried new recipes to “feed” our busy family!
Sports? I’ve never been that adventurous but I decided to learn how to scuba dive (which I never imagined starting in my late 30s)! Life is not as busy anymore. For the day to day, I enjoy reading a book, doing yoga, hiking or taking my dogs Sidney and Milo for a walk, or for a gentle run when I have the motivation to lace up my shoes (yes, dietitians struggle with this too).
Endometriosis
Endometriosis impacts so MANY aspects of our lives: mood, relationships, fertility, work commitments and more. So, if you are sick of band-aid solutions I have a “foods first” evidence-based solution approach that will make a real difference to your quality of life.
